The Blue Lantern Ring is unique in that it is capable of effectively combating wielders of the red, orange, and yellow light. Created by the rogue Guardians Sayd and Ganthet, the Blue Lantern Rings harness the blue light of hope for their power. The Blue Lantern Corps: Their associated emotion is hope. When near a Blue Lantern Ring wielder, a Green Lantern ring will supercharge in its base power capacity, exponentially increasing its power. There is typically one Green Lantern for each of the 3600 sectors of the known galaxy, but some sectors are known to have contributed more than one Green Lantern Ring wielder to the Corps. The Green Lantern Rings were first created by the Guardians, as a method of being able to help bring order to the galaxy. As such, the ring is one of the most common of all power rings. The ring has no special abilities, but is typically much more easily able to wield due to its nature of exerting little-to-no influence on the user. Arguably one of the most famous and widely-recognized Lantern Corps, the Green Lantern Ring harnesses the light of willpower, making it the easiest to freely wield in the Emotional Spectrum. The Green Lantern Corps: Their associated emotion is willpower, one of the least 'emotional' forces on the Emotional Spectrum. Also, a Yellow Lantern is vulnerable to a Blue Lantern ring wielder, due to the nature of the blue light empowering an individual whereas the yellow light weakens an individual, but this is not always the case. Also, the ring can be used to create specialized constructs based on the fears of their assailant, conversely empowering the wielder. The ring has the unique ability to be able to delve into an assailant's mind and unearth their darkest fears, which can be used against them through the ring. As such, the ring can adversely affect an individual's willpower, which has made them a powerful enemy of the Green Lantern Corps for many years.
The Yellow Lantern Ring becomes stronger if the assailant, or individuals around them, are afraid of the ring wielder.
BLUE LANTERN CORPS EMOTION FULL
Due to it being closer to the center of the emotional spectrum, it does not affect the user to as great of a degree, but does require that a user 'embrace their inner fears' in order to effectively utilize the ring's full potential power. Founded by the rogue Green Lantern Sinestro as a method of fighting against the Guardians, the Yellow Lantern Corps, also known as the Sinestro Corps, is a Corps that feeds off of the fear of others. The Yellow Lantern Corps (Sinestro Corps): Their associated emotion is fear. The ring also leaves the wielder with an insatiable hunger, but the effect is negated in the presence of a Blue Lantern. The second is that a user can steal the aspect of a user after killing them and convert it into an energy construct being, acting as a loyal subject to the Orange Lantern. The first is that it can actually steal another ring-wielder's energy constructs and turn them against its owner, though some Corps are immune to this ability. The Orange Lantern Ring creates a compulsion within its wielder to hoard and collect everything in sight, no matter the cost. The only difference, however, is that the effect is temporary, and is simply negated when the ring is (somehow) removed. Upon acquisition, the Orange Lantern Ring fills the bearer to the brim with sheer greed and avarice, much like the Red Lantern Ring does with rage. Due to the nature of the Orange light being greed, there is only one permanent Orange Lantern currently in existence his name is Larfleeze. The Orange Lantern Corps: Their associated emotion is greed/avarice. Even so, the few human Red Lanterns were actually found to be an exception to this rule, making them an invaluable asset to the Corps. Because of the nature of the Red Lantern Ring filling its bearer with uncontrollable rage, the ring typically cannot be used to create energy constructs, like each other Corps can do. As such, the Red Lantern Ring cannot be removed without the assistance of a Blue Lantern, otherwise the user would die instantly.
The ring also has physical effects on the user, typically turning their blood supply into a type of napalm substance and killing and replacing the user's heart. As such, their minds degenerate into what appears to be complete madness. Originally created by Atrocitus to fight the Guardians, the Red Power Ring is unique in that it forces overwhelming anger upon the user, making them unable to feel any other emotion. The Red Lantern Corps: Their associated emotion is anger/rage.
